Hello!

Meghan Mullins is excited to be the new Assistant Orchestra and Choir Director for the Leyden Music Department!

My Story

Meghan Mullins is a Chicago-area music educator, performer, and conductor specializing in string orchestra and choral music. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree from St. Olaf College and her Master of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of Music. Meghan has been actively involved in both orchestra and choir since elementary school and is passionate about helping students develop a lifelong love of music.

 

Before joining Leyden High School District, Meghan taught beginning string orchestra in Highland Park, elementary choir at Midwest Young Artists Conservatory, and general music in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her diverse teaching experiences have allowed her to work with students of all ages and musical backgrounds.

 

In addition to teaching, Meghan performs as a cellist with the Chicagoland Educators Orchestra, works as a collaborative pianist, and maintains a private studio teaching piano and string lessons. She is dedicated to creating inclusive and engaging ensemble experiences where every student can grow as a musician, leader, and collaborator.
